Wireless conference phone

Wireless conference phone

Everyone has seen a conference phone, but how many of these can actually be used anytime, anywhere? Standard conference phones still require you to hook it up to a landline before it can be used to make or receive any calls, but Panasonic and Willcom aims to introduce a wireless solution that relies on the PHS wireless network. All you need to do is insert a SIM card inside, remain within the coverage area, and you’re good to go. I suppose this idea won’t exactly catch on anytime soon, as how many people hold conference calls outside of a conference room? In addition, I have yet to come across a conference room without a landline cable yet.
