Sidekick iD a watered down 3

Sidekick iD a watered down 3

The Sidekick iD is pretty much impotent when compared to its elder sibling, the Sidekick 3. I don’t really see a place in the market for a device that costs $99 and yet is missing MP3 playback, a digital camera, Bluetooth connectivity, or even a memory card slot. What you get for a single Benjamin would be an IM device that surfs the Web as well, but don’t expect the latter experience to be smooth or as streamlined as that on a laptop. Seriously, what do you expect froma GPRS connection anyway? The only bearable point in the Sidekick ID would be its keyboard that functions great for a text-heavy device, while setting up e-mail is a cinch.
