Sharper Image has come up with its own 008TSI Slider Bluetooth handset that works with just about any SIM card – giving you the freedom of doing away with locked SIM-card phones. I suppose this $249.95 offering works great for those who are still using archaic handsets looking for an upgrade and don’t want the experience of being locked to another 2-year plan. Features are pretty ordinary though – you get a 262k color display, a VGA camera, MP3 and video playback, a microSD memory card slot, and even a Web browser. Talk time stands at 6 hours per USB charge, while standby time is 300 hours long.
