You won’t really go wrong with Roper Mobile Technology’s Duros 8404 tablet PC which features the following :-

• 500MHz AMD Geode LX 800/1.0GHz Intel Celeron M processors
• Shock, dust and water-resistant
• Hot swappable battery
• SSD or hard drive options
• 256MB/512MB/1GB RAM options
• Bluetooth 2.0 and Wi-Fi connectivity

We know it has been snowing heavily in London, the worst in 18 years in fact, which makes something like the Duros 8404 perfect as it is perfectly operable from -4 to 122 deg. F (-20 to 50 deg. C), and don’t worry about dropping it onto concrete from four feet up – too bad there is no shock resistant insulation included for the hard drive, so you might be a wee bit more careful there (or just settle for the SSD). The display itself can be read under the sunlight for ease of use indoors or outdoors. There is no word on pricing as at press time.
