SiS168 Processor Reduces Motion Blur Artifacts

Silicon Integrated Systems (SiS) has outed its latest 120Hz/100Hz motion-fluent co-processor that goes by the moniker SiS168 which is touted to decrease motion-blur artifacts in LCD TVs. In addition, it will also do its part to lower film-judder that can normally be found in low frame rate movies. The SiS168 is able to do so thanks to a close-loop Multi-state Motion Vector Search & Analysis (MMVSA) algorithm which helps increase the reliability and accuracy of the regenerated motion vectors. Manufacturers will be able to pair up the SiS168 with a bunch of SiS HDTV SoC processors as well as the upcoming generation of SiS HDTV products in addition to various other third party TV chips for superior upgrade motion-video picture quality. Mass production of the SiS168 is expected to begin this May.
