Toshiba is updating its line of Satellite laptops (U, M, P and L series) with some design additions. One of the key feature that we love is the flat backlit keyboard as a default feature on all models except the entry level L-series. We have been asking the computer manufacturers for quite a while to get backlit keyboard on more models, and we are glad that Toshiba got it right. The U/M/P/S series boasts a new edge to edge display with chrome accents, a slot loading DVD drive (picture), a 4 gesture multi-touch control touchpad with an on/off button (probably the Synaptics technology), a LED backlit display, one model will be 3G and all models are Windows 7 ready and come in “premium finishes”.
The L-series has a full keypad with numeric, a 16:9 display 10-key, a LED backlit display, webcam with face recognition.
