Alienware M11X Update Coming Soon
A forum discussion has sparked a rumor concerning a hardware update for the Alienware M11X gaming laptop. If you are not familiar with that model, it is a sub $900 laptop that uses an entry level main processor coupled with a relatively fast graphics processor. The combo makes the Alienware a good gaming computer, for a relatively low price.
According to the source, a forum poster that allegedly has “inside” links with Alienware, the update would happen in the June/July timeframe. The M11X would get new a Core ix CPU, NVIDIA’s optimus technology. We’re pretty sure that the M11X would eventually be bumped to a Core ix, so the question the really “when”. We’ll keep an eye on this. The discussion was spotted on notebookreview and was republished by engadget and others.
