Real time motion tracking software might offer more interactive games in the future

Motion tracking seems to be getting more and more mainstream these days – just take a look at the home console gaming scene and you’ll know what we’re talking about, with the Wii, Kinect and PS Move all offering some sort of motion tracking controls of differing degrees. Well, here’s an interesting real time motion tracking application that can track a particular object of your choice using just a single observation/image to get things rolling. Apart from that, it is also capable of handling zooms, object size changes, occlusion and temporary disappearances, making us wonder when this will seep into future motion gaming systems for that added level of interactivity.
