Nextbook Next5: first Android tablet with an Integrated Digital Pen

Nextbook Next5Nextbook has just announced that they have begun to ship their latest Android tablet, the Next5. Nextbook calls the Next5 the first Android tablet that comes with an Integrated APEN Digital Pen. What’s so special about the APEN Digital Pen is that it connects to the Next5 wirelessly, allowing users to generate, save and/or transmit real-time notes, write emails, and create drawings using regular paper and normal ink. So if you’ve been looking for a tablet that has writing as a key component of the device, the Next5 tablet could be for you.

It comes with a 7″ display, Android 2.1 (unfortunately), WiFi, SlideME app manager, eBook Store, 2GB of internal storage, a microSD card slot, 25-preloaded books and an MP3/photo viewer and built-in speakers. Definitely not a high-end tablet that’s meant to compete with the likes of the Motorola XOOM or iPad, the Nextbook Next5 Android tablet is now available and will cost you $299.00.
