Olympus PEN E-PL3 Compact Camera with Interchangeable Lens

The Olympus PEN E-PL3 Is the mid-range product in the new Olympus PEN lineup, nicknamed the “PEN lite”. The PEN E-PL3 shares similar features with the PEN E-P3 in a more compact and more modern-looking body. It comes with the new 12.3-megapixel Live MOS Image Sensor, a new image engine, enhanced low-light performance with AF illuminator and ISO up to 12,800, super fast auto-focus, full HD 1080i video capture and a re-designed touch user interface.

One of the most noticeable new feature is the super fast auto-focus system that provides 35 separate focus points spread over nearly the entire sensor, enabling focusing accuracy on small objects.

The newly designed user interface gives access to up to 10 Art filters that can be applied on still picture and HD movies: (depending upon model) Diorama, Pop Art, Soft Focus, Pale & Light Color, Light Tone, Grainy Film, Pin Hole, Cross Process, Gentle Sepia and Dramatic Tone. The Olympus PEN E-PL3 Body comes either with the MSC M.ZUIKO DIGITAL ED m14-42mm II R f3.5/5.6 Zoom Lens or the MSC M.ZUIKO DIGITAL ED m14-42mm II R f3.5/5.6 Zoom Lens. Pricing has still to be announced.

The FL-300R Compact Flash swivel on one axis and functions as a bounce flash, it operates wirelessly through a remote control function on the new E-P3, E-PL3 and E-PM1. it is available now for $169.99.
