For those who are unfamiliar with the Vertu brand, they’re a company that specializes in luxury phones designed with top notch materials and rare stones. Granted they’re probably not the best phones in terms of what’s under the hood but if you can ignore the fact that it does not run on Android/iOS/Windows Phone 7 or does not come with a touch screen or does not feature a dual-core processor with a camera that can record 1080p HD videos, Vertu does make pretty luxurious looking phones.
The ‘sea of sapphire’ that makes up the display of the Vertu Signature apparently takes more than two weeks to create in a 2000°C furnace and is almost impossible to scratch and it is so hard it must be cut, ground and polished with diamond-tipped tools. The keypad also contains 4.75 carats of solid ruby bearings; each one set in its exact place like a jewel, and here we thought that the iPhone 4’s glass backing was pretty fancy as it is.
Vertu is not looking to just sell a phone here, but also a lifestyle as buying a phone will come with the Vertu Concierge Dedicated who will match you to a personal lifestyle manager for a complimentary three months, and they will be devoted to understanding your unique needs and at the same time offer exceptional and enriching experiences. The phone also comes with free repair for the first two months although we’re guessing this is probably not a device you will want to be dropping any time soon.
The models that are currently being offered under the Signature Precious line are:
No word on how much this beauty will cost but we’re going to put it at an estimate of very, very expensive.
