Android 4.0 source code to be released this week?

Rohan Shravan, founder and CEO of Notion Ink, claims that Internet search giant Google (who has since branched off to many other segments) will most probably release the source code for Android 4.0 this coming November 17th – making that a Thursday. How reliable would Rohan’s claim be? Well, for starters, with rather solid ties to the Android development community, this could very well turn out to be true but as with all the other rumors that have crossed our paths in the past, only time will tell for sure.

Word on the street also has it that the Samsung Galaxy Nexus will be introduced in the UK this coming November 17th, so perhaps the release of the source code will coincide with this particular event? If so, then it ought to bring a smile to the faces of those who love tweaking with their smartphones, and what better way to get started than with the latest official Google phone? Do you think there will be a custom Android 4.0 ROM for your handset before the mad holiday shopping season begins?
