Le Pan III Android tablet passes through the FCC

Brands like Samsung, Apple, HTC, etc are pretty well known as far as mobile devices are concerned, but that’s not to say that lesser known companies can’t put out great hardware as well. For those who attended CES, you guys might have encountered the Le Pan III, and Android tablet with some pretty decent specs to boot, and the good news is that the device has recently been spotted at the FCC which hopefully could indicate an impending launch, or at least bringing it a step closer.

The FCC filing did not reveal any surprises, so for those who might have missed out on CES or who might have forgotten, the Le Pan III tablet will feature a 1.5GHz dual-core processor under its hood with 1GB of RAM, a 9.7” display, a 5MP rear-facing camera, a 2MP front-facing camera and will come with Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich preinstalled. No word on when we can see the device, but according to Le Pan’s website, it will be “coming soon”.
