Singaporean Lumia 800 owners receive battery fix firmware update

When the Nokia Lumia 800 was first launched, many praised its unique design and the fluidity of the Windows Phone software, but unfortunately one glaring issue was present that could not be ignored, which was that the device faced a battery issue that ranged from the device depleting extremely fast, to the device not being able to charged fully. Now for Lumia 800 owners still suffering from battery problems, it would appear that Singaporean owners of the Lumia 800 have received a firmware update, 12070, and according to WPCentral, this update not only addresses the battery issue, but supposedly tripled the device’s battery life compared to the 11401 firmware update.

Unfortunately at this point in time, it seems that this particular update is limited to Singapore for now, so for our Singaporean readers out there with the Lumia 800, you might want to check for the update via the Zune Desktop software and let us know if the update really does deliver better battery life!
