Ematic eGlide XL Pro 2 Android tablet launched

If you’re in the market for a new tablet, Ematic has just announced the eGlide XL Pro 2 Android tablet. Featuring a 10” display, Ematic is boasting that it will have no trouble supporting 1080p Full HD video and games by connecting to a HDTV, and thanks to its HDMI port, you will be able to mirror your tablet’s interface on your television. The tablet will pack a 1GHz processor under its hood with a 400MHz GPU, 1GB of RAM an 4GB of internal storage that can be expanded via a microSD card. Ematic has also mentioned that there will be 5GB of cloud storage that will come with the device.

The tablet also features a built-in gyroscope, an accelerometer, a front-facing camera and WiFi connectivity. Ematic is also introducing the EDAN, also known as the Ematic Digital Assistant & Navigator. As the name implies, the EDAN will function as a voice assistant and will help users locate restaurants, movie times, dictate emails, send Facebook messages and create tweets via vocal commands. Last but not least, the Ematic eGlide XL Pro 2 will run on Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich and is expected to retail for $219.99 and will be available for purchase via a number of online retailers such as Amazon.
