Dubbed the MarquisPad MP977, this particular tablet shares some of the features and tech specs of the Le Pan II, such as its 9.7” 1024×768 display. Apart from that, it will see an upgrade to a 1.2GHz dual-core processor, a slightly redesigned chassis, 4GB of internal storage (but will come bundled with a microSD card) and will come with Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich preinstalled. It is expected to see a release some time this month and will set you back $249.
If those specs aren’t to your liking, the company has also outed two tablets on its roadmap, the MP1010 and the MP979. The former will feature a 10.1” display and a dual-core 1.5GHz processor and 10GB of internal storage. The MP979 on the other hand will pretty much share the same specs except squeeze them into a smaller form factor with a display of 9.7”. The MP1010 is expected to see a release sometime between June to August, while the MP979 will be released sometime between August and September. No word on pricing just yet.
