On paper, the TransPhone itself is definitely nothing to shout at with its 3.5″ display, while the TransPad comes with a 7″ display. Any TransPhone can use several TransPads, and the gist of the idea goes both ways as well. It is rather disheartening then to read that the TransPhone will come with Android 2.3.5 Gingerbread which is definitely outdated in this day and age, accompanied by a SnapDragon S1 processor, 512MB RAM and ROM, 512MB of internal memory with a microSD memory card slot for expansion purposes. It doesn’t seem to be something that will rock the high end market simply because it is not such a device.
