YotaPhone Spotted On Video

It was just earlier this week when we brought you word of a Russian-made YotaPhone that will come with the rather unorthodox visual set up, sporting a dual display that has an E Ink screen on one side, and a standard issue LCD display on the other. Well, the implementation of the E Ink screen does make sense since it is a piece of electrical component that sips very little juice, while being able to do quite a bang up job in terms of displaying relevant and important notifications.

Other hardware specifications of the YotaPhone include Android 4.1 Jelly Bean as the operating system of choice, a dual-core Snapdragon S4 processor, 2GB RAM, and up to 64GB of internal memory. What is most interesting would be how both displays interact with one another – for instance, you are able to swipe your finger to transfer a screenshot of the primary screen over to the E Ink display, making it ideal for you to “freeze” a particular screenshot for use later on. Enjoy a video of the YotaPhone above as it is being prepared for a 2H 2013 launch.
