Acer Liquid E2 Smartphone Announced

liq-e2-1-540x255Earlier this year, Acer unveiled the Liquid E1 which was a somewhat unremarkable phone that featured a dual-core chipset, putting it in the low-mid range especially since quad-core is starting to become the norm. However it looks like the Taiwanese company has since been pretty quick to follow up with the E1 and has officially announced the Liquid E2, making this the first quad-core smartphone to be released by Acer that will offer optional dual SIM card slots for those who require it.

As far as the rest of the specs are concerned, the Liquid E2 will feature a 4.5” qHD display, dual front stereo speakers and a 3.5mm audio jack, with speakers supposedly supporting DTS sound and a feature called Moodagent, which as the name implies, will create playlists based on the user’s mood! At this point in the time, it does not seem that Acer has plans to release the phone in the US, but will instead release it in Belgium, Netherlands, Ukraine, France, Spain, UK, Italy, Germany, and Russia and is expected to be made available in the middle of May starting at €229.
