Asus Padfone Infinity Goes On Sale In The US (Unofficial)

asus-padfone-infinityWe first spotted the Asus Padfone Infinity at Mobile World Congress in Barcelona, Spain, earlier this year, and late last month, pre-orders for the Asus Padfone Infinity was opened last month with an April release date confirmed. Good to know that Asus has kept their side of the bargain, where they have started to ship the first batch of the Padfone Infinity stock. Apparently, a retailer in the US known as Overseas Electronics that is based in Chicago, has started to offer the Asus Padfone Infinity smartphone for $950 a pop, and while Asus did not say anything concerning the sale of the Padfone Infinity sans the tablet dock, at that price point, it will obviously not be accompanied by the tablet dock. The thing is, it works on HSDPA 900/2100 and 4G LTE 800/1800/2600/2100 bands, which pretty much makes it useless in the US.

Since the first shipments of the Asus Padfone Infinity is already readily available in the US, it should also make its way to other markets in due time, where folks living outside of the US should cost them a far more expensive €999, although the price might eventually be dragged down as soon as supply levels have managed to catch up with demand.
