GIV Mobile No-Contract Wireless Plan Gives Back To Charity

giv-mobileI guess you can officially welcome AT&T into the brotherhood of no-contract wireless providers, thanks to the AT&T Next plan which is a no-contract, no-down-payment plan, letting users pay for their handset via monthly installments with the option to make an upgrade after one year. Name calling among mobile carriers have already started, but this has not stopped Chicago-based GIV Mobile to be part of the party as well, as GIV Mobile is a new no-contract wireless service that comes with a charitable twist. Their “Unlimited Everything” plans might start from $40 monthly onwards, but they intend to give 8% of their monthly plans to a non-profit charity of your choice, now how about that?

These charities will include (but are not limited to) the American Red Cross, Ronald McDonald House Charities, American Cancer Society, and Scholarship America amongst others. Of course, here is the breakdown of the $40 monthly Unlimited Everything plan, where you get talk, text, MMS, International text and web (first 250MB up to 4G/3G speeds) across 4G-enabled handsets. There is also a $50 monthly plan, with the only difference being your Internet connection going at 4G/3G speeds for the first 2GB.
