Chroma Announced By Harmonix

chromaWhen it comes to the world of gaming, surely creativity is required in large quantities, especially when you take into consideration how certain genres become “stale” after a while, and it needs a fresh injection of ideas to work again. Harmonix, the game studio that introduced Guitar Hero and Rock Band, has just announced a brand new title known as Chroma. Chroma will be different from the previous games from Harmonix, as it will be making its way straight to the PC platform via Steam without making any pit stops along the way. Not only that, you will also be pleased as punch to hear that Chroma will be a free-to-play title, now how about that? Unlike other outings from Harmonix, Chroma will be hugely experimental in essence, where it merges the excitement of a first-person shooter alongside pulsing electronic beats and visuals that will blow your mind away. Harmonix will be cooperating with Hidden Path Entertainment, who are the same people behind Counterstrike: Global Offensive.

Assuming Chroma takes off in a hugely successful manner, it would have created a music-based first-person shooter genre, the first of its kind in the world. There will be five classes for you to choose from in Chroma, where each class has its own weapons and abilities, where you battle it out with others to gain control of various points within a level.
