Jacksonville Jaguars And Daktronics Get Largest HD LED Video Displays In The World At Stadium

jacksonville-jaguars-hd-ledThe Jacksonville Jaguars has teamed up with Daktronics in order to install what is deemed to be the world’s largest HD LED video displays at their stadium, where there will be one at each end zone of the EverBank Field. Each display is so long, that they are able to reach beyond the distance from the goal post in one end zone to the goal post in the other end zone, where we are looking (literally) at over 21,700 square feet of active display area, which is nearly enough to actually cover the whole field of play when merged.

Jaguars Owner Shahid Khan shared, “As the construction takes shape, we can all envision what an impact this will have on EverBank Field and the game-day experience, and that was one of the reasons from the beginning for embarking on this ambitious project. We want EverBank Field to be a world-class destination, and we want to bring energy and attention to Downtown Jacksonville. Our goal is to offer best-in-class amenities and the best in-stadium experience for our fans and for everyone who visits Jacksonville and EverBank Field.”

Hopefully the Jacksonville Jaguars will be able to carry on a winning sporting tradition, otherwise all of the future losses will be shown on such a large display for all and sundry to see. I suppose using these displays for something more neutral such as a concert would be much appreciated. [Press Release]
