At least the second generation Fairphone would be able to put to good use all of the experience that they have garnered in their maiden outing, and Fairphone has hopes to increase the level of its transparency as well as use of conflict-free materials – simply by moving the design in-house, for example.
This move would enable Fairphone to gain a greater level of control over the kind of manufacturer that they would like to use when it comes to constructing the handset, as well as providing Fairphone with more input over the place where it sources its supplies and components from. Pretty neat idea, no? It seems that this summer might see the release of the second generation Fairphone.
