Republic Wireless has announced a new program through which it’s going to refund users for unused data allocation. Users have the option to set a 4G LTE data allowance to their plan and Republic will then refund them for any unused data after the billing cycle is up. It first started testing this program back in April and now the carrier is rolling this out for all of its users.

For $10 per month Republic Wireless users get unlimited talk and text as well as unlimited Wi-Fi data. For an additional $7.50 per month they can get 500MB of mobile data, higher tiers are available for as much as $5 for 3GB of data.

Under the new program called Republic Refund the carrier is going to refund customers $1.50 for every 100MB that is unused on their plan.

For example if a user has a 500MB plan which costs $7.50 and they only use 200MB of data in that particular month they will only be required to pay $3.50 on top of the $10 per month for unlimited talk and text instead of $17.50.

It’s easy for users to control and manage all of this since they only need to download the Republic Wireless app to keep track of data usage and refunds.
