Real Life Assassin’s Creed Rope Launcher Is As Awesome As It Sounds

The main character in Assassin’s Creed Syndicate has a wrist-mounted rope launcher that adds a very unique dynamic to the game, it enables Jacob Frye to leap across buildings in Victorian London with the ease that Batman enjoys. Some might find themselves wondering how would the tool look in real life, inventor Colin Furze has the answer, it looks just as awesome at it sounds.

Colin Furze made this wrist-mounted rope launcher as part of a promotion for Ubisoft, showing that the idea isn’t too far-fetched, that by using a carbon dioxide canister to propel the motorized line you too can put the rope launcher to work.

However since we live in the real world there are some obvious caveats here. The rope launcher is quite bulky so don’t go around planning any daring escapes. Also, it can’t support your weight without a harness, which means you can’t really jump across the rooftops in your city with this contraption on your wrist.

That’s not all that this tool does though, just like the game it even has a hidden blade when pops up with just a flick of the wrist. It’s a proper blade that can inflict some real damage.

Furze has put up a video to show how it all works, it’s an interesting watch to say the least.
