Call Of Duty Twitter Seemingly Confirms Modern Warfare Remaster

cod 4 mwCall of Duty 4: Modern Warfare was developed by the folks at Infinity Ward and released back in 2007. Given that we are in 2016, this means that 9 years has passed since the release of the game, but it also seems that many gamers still have a lot of love for that particular title, as shown by the excitement when it was hinted that a Modern Warfare remaster could be in the works.

Word on the remaster came about when a photo of the alleged next Call of Duty title, Infinite Warfare, surfaced and suggested that it could come bundled with a Modern Warfare remaster. However since the photo cannot be verified, many took to Twitter to ask about it, and a recent reply by the official Call of Duty Twitter account seems to have confirmed it.

Now the reply was only made in emoji, but it seems to more or less confirm the existence of the game. Twitter user Mr. Syndicate also “confirmed” that the game is real, but until we get explicit confirmation, we’ll hold onto a bit of our skepticism for now. That being said, we have to wonder if a Modern Warfare remaster might have anything to do with the latest Call of Duty title.

After all both titles were developed by the same developer, and both seem to share the same name as well. We had previously speculated that maybe there was some kind of continuity, but in any case hopefully we will learn more soon. The game is currently rumored for a 4th of November release.
