Mass Effect: Andromeda Won’t Receive Any More Single-Player Updates

It has only been five months since Mass Effect: Andromeda was released. It’s the fourth major release in this franchise so far and it was much awaited by fans of the Mass Effect franchise. BioWare has now confirmed that it’s not going to release any more single-player updates for the game. Mass Effect: Andromeda is not going to receive any updates for in-game story content as well from now on.

Some players are likely going to be concerned about some of the campaign’s loose narratives that have not been completely addressed by the single-player experience. BioWare is aware of that.

It says that the team decided to focus Mass Effect: Andromeda’s story on the Pathfinder, the exploration of the galaxy, and the conflict with the Archon. It will address the loose narrative threads of the campaign through its upcoming comics and novels, including the fate of the quarian ark.

BioWare’s announcement follows reports that it had canceled all future DLCs for Mass Effect: Andromeda. The final update for the game was released last month and it was just a bug-fixing update. That’s not to say that BioWare isn’t going to release any updates for the multiplayer experience.

It will release new content including character kits, missions, and more for the multiplayer experience. More details about this will be confirmed by BioWare’s multiplayer team in the coming weeks.
