Activision Confirms Call Of Duty: Black Ops 4 Release Date

There has been a lot of speculation about the 2018 Call of Duty title and Activision finally ended speculation earlier this week by confirming that this year’s title will be Call of Duty: Black Ops 4. Activision has confirmed that Call of Duty: Black Ops 4 is now in development and that the title is going to be released later this year. The game is being developed by Treyarch, the very same studio that was behind previous Black Ops titles as well.

Activision hasn’t revealed a lot of details about Call of Duty: Black Ops 4 at this point in time. It has only confirmed that the game will be released for the PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC. It hasn’t said if there’s going to be a version for the Nintendo Switch despite reports to the contrary.

More information about the game will be revealed at an event on May 17th where Activision will properly reveal the title. It’s unlikely that it will offer any further details about the game until then.

Activision has confirmed that Call of Duty: Black Ops 4 is going to be released on Friday, October 12th, 2018. That’s about a month earlier than the early November release window that’s traditionally used for new Call of Duty titles. Not that this is something that fans of the series will be complaining about.
