Steve Jobs Not Presenting at WWDC, New iPhone Said to Be Absent As Well

Apple has posted the official information about its upcoming WWDC event. We now know that Philip Schiller, Apple's marketing leader will present the keynote. Steve Jobs was expected by some to make his comeback there. It is now suspected that the iPhone will be presented at a "special event" in Apple's HQ later in June. Analyst Gene Munster from Piper Jaffray does not expect to see a new iPhone hardware at WWDC, although he still believes that more iPhones will come in both high-end and entry-level market segments, along with less expensive data plans.
For the time being, WWDC will be focused on Mac OS X Leopard (photo from cnet). [bloomberg via grade a entrepreneurs]
