A couple of German engineers have joined forces to release their new electric bike on their own without the assitance of external tech or financial support, dubbing it the Elmoto. This self-made green vehicle won’t come cheap though at $5,700, but we were pleasantly surprised by the specifications it offers – you will be able to feel the power of its 2KW engine that is aided by lithium battery packs, where a single charge ought to be able to last you for up to 70km. The aluminum frame keeps things relatively lightweight at 45kg, where you can achieve a maximum speed of 30mph – which is faster than some electric scooters we’ve come across, that’s for sure. There will be a 100 units of these available for purchase before the year is over.
