Dolby lowers price of reusable 3D glasses

With 3D movies catching on, it seems that Dolby has decided to grow a heart by lowering the price of its reusable 3D glasses. Yup, the list price is now $17 compared to $27.50 previously, making them all the more affordable and cost-effective (allowing more cinemas to pick them up). These eco-friendly glasses were specially designed to be used repeatedly, helping lower per-ticket costs to levels that are far below that of disposable single use 3D glasses. These cost savings can be achieved via new, bundled pricing for its standard Dolby 3D single projector kit with up to 500 pairs of glasses and a Dolby 3D bundle for its large-screen solutions 3D kit with up to 1,000 pairs of glasses.
