
If you thought that the LED dog collar was a good idea, then you’ll probably be over the moon at the sight of these DIY LED shoes. These LEDs are controlled by a micro controller and are fastened to the shoes via Velcro. They’re powered by a pair of batteries and the patterns of the LEDs are controlled by a Really Bare Bones Board Arduino and cycles through the different patterns using magnets and reed switches on the inside edges of the shoes. You might think that it’s a little extreme, but it’ll probably help reduce the chances of you being hit by a car at night. Video after the jump.
