Amazon Kindle app

Amazon has just announced that they will be releasing their popular eBook reader/store app for the webOS. The app will be specially designed for the HP TouchPad and will read any Kindle eBook, even if it was purchased on another platform. At least someone is staying true to their “Buy Once, Read Everywhere” motto. It will also include Whispersync that allows you to pick up reading where you left off, so you don’t have to spend time hunting for your pages or bookmarks when one device runs out of power or gets misplaced. The app will be available for free (though your books won’t be) but no release date has been mentioned, but expect it to drop along with the HP TouchPad when it is released later this year.
