Amazon is celebrating the 10th anniversary of its Kindle hardware by offering discounts on existing models. The company released its first Kindle e-reader a decade ago. The company and its hardware efforts have certainly come a long way since then but the Kindle has been there every step of the way. Amazon has every reason to celebrate this major milestone for the Kindle lineup.

Amazon has actually started celebrating the anniversary already even though the first Kindle e-reader was actually released on November 19th. Doesn’t matter, though, customers who have been waiting to purchase a Kindle wouldn’t mind the $30 discount.

Amazon has discounted several Kindle models by $30. The basic Kindle can now be purchased for $49.99 instead of $79.99. The Kindle Paperwhite is being sold for $89.99 and not $119.99. The Kindle Voyage can be picked up today for $169.99. It usually costs $199.99.

Amazon hasn’t included the recently updated Kindle Oasis in this list. It hasn’t been released as yet, the e-reader is due on October 31st, and will cost $249.99 when it arrives.

The discounted prices are available from October 23rd – October 25th. Amazon is also providing discounts on Kindle ebooks as well, customers can get up to 80 percent off on top-selling books. It’s also offering a free $5 credit for any Kindle ebook to select customers only.
