BlueAnt has long championed Bluetooth connectivity when it comes to their range of headsets, and now their latest release would be the Embrace headphones that takes a different view as it will not have Bluetooth support, where it sports a traditional over-ear design that comes with a built-in microphone and control mechanism that will cater for iOS devices such as iPods, iPads and iPhones. Of course, in order not to malign the non-Apple crowd, BlueAnt made sure the Embrace will also function with portable media players, tablets and smartphones from other manufacturers.

As mentioned, the Embrace will be a wired product – a first from the company, but you will benefit from the 69″ stereo audio cable that is longer than average, although good luck trying to avoid getting all tangled up in it when you travel. You will also benefit from a standard 3.5mm-to-6.3mm adapter. As for the Embrace’s performance, it will feature 20-20k hertz, 103dB sensitivity, 24 ohm impedance and a maximum power of 15mW. Each $200 purchase will come with a one-year warranty. It looks promising on paper, but do you think it will live up to expectations in real life?
