In a couple of weeks, you will be able to relive history (if you are old) or at least play with one of the best polygonal 3D racing game from another era. In addition to its mere existence on the Xbox 360 and PS3, the game will come with graphics upgrades that include a 16:9 aspect ratio (the original game was in 4:3) and HD resolution. It will also be compatible with all wheel systems on Xbox, and with the Logitech GT Driving Force on PS3.

Keep in mind that this is a game that came out in… 1993 and it is mostly a arcade game, so this is no Gran Turismo. Yet Daytona USA, which was developed by SEGA’s legendary AM2 team (Amusement Machine Dept 2) remains a classic that I’m glad to see on two popular console systems – for a price of $10. I kept the best for the end: the game will feature a multiplayer mode that can support up to 8 players. “Gentlemen… Start your engines!” (video in the full post)
