There were whispers that arose over the past two weeks, pointing towards Apple’s plans of rolling out iOS 5.0.2 which supposedly will include Apple’s second attempt at making sure the battery life issues plaguing the iPhone 4S for certain folks is done and over with – for good. Apart from that, there are also rumblings that Apple will continue on with iOS 5.1, which would deliver along with it new capabilities for Siri. Well, it seems that 5.0.2 was more or less delayed in the end, with nothing else known about iOS 5.1. Apple continued by seeding the iOS 5.1 beta to registered developers at the moment, and the release notes do not reveal that many changes, as there was no mention of any new Siri features, and there does not seem to be an end to battery issues either. Hopefully someone who has already installed the new build will be able to come up with their own thoughts and opinions in the comments. At least, there are no reports of any handsets being gimped or bricked, and let us hope it stays that way.
