If you enjoy collecting old computers with a bit of history behind them, you’re in luck as an eBay auction has been spotted with the seller auctioning off what appears to be an Apple II Plus unit. What makes this particular unit special is that it was built specifically for Bell & Howell and was being sold to educational markets. However unlike the original Apple II Plus, the series built for Bell & Howell features a black casing instead of the standard beige one.

Unfortunately if you were hoping to power the thing on, the seller appears to be only selling the computer without its power supply, so for all we know it may not even turn on. However despite that, we’re sure that collectors might still appreciate its rarity especially since only 10,000 such units were reportedly made. Based on its photo, it appears to be in pretty good condition, and with about 13 hours to go (at the time of posting), you might be able to own a piece of history for under $500, assuming that no one outbids you. For more information or to place your bid, pop on over to its eBay listing.
