Apple logoLast week, we talked about how the iPad trademark case will be heard in Shanghai, so Apple executives (as well as Cupertino’s legion of fans) can now heave a huge sigh of relief, knowing that the Shanghai court has ruled that Apple’s iPads are able to be sold in Shanghai, after throwing out the request by Chinese technology company Proview. That is that then, and since it does not look too likely for the iPad to be banned from being exported from China (considering the bulk of it is produced in China), the world need not worry about whether there will be a shortage of iPads down the road or not. Heck, after all, we are already anticipating the release of the iPad 3 when March 7th rolls around, right? There is still the small issue of the iPad being banned from being sold in a southern part of China. Inconsequential really, when you look at the global market demographic. As for the affluent Shanghainese, you can continue snapping up iPads without having to give up a kidney or your virginity.
