Galaxy-S3The Samsung Galaxy S3 definitely looks set to be a surefire winner in terms of hardware sales by the time it is officially released to the mass market, simply because it managed to rack up a whopping 9 million units in pre-orders globally, taking just two weeks to arrive at this figure ever since it was first announced at an event in London earlier this May. Reuters cited the Korea Economic Daily for this mind boggling figure, quoting an anonymous Samsung executive who offered this rather impressive figure that translates pre-launch hype into actual purchases.

Interestingly enough, the 9 million figure does not take American demand into the equation, as the US model has yet to be made available. Having said that, it would be exciting to see just what kind of figures the Samsung Galaxy S3 will be able to garner when it is released Stateside in terms of sales, and will it be another huge success as it was with its predecessor, the Samsung Galaxy S2? Only time will tell.
