Samsung has officially unveiled the Galaxy Buds On, marking the global technology brand’s first entry into the open-ear clip-on wireless earbuds market.
Engineered to prioritize long-term wearing comfort and situational awareness during outdoor athletic activities, the earbuds utilize an open acoustic architecture that leaves the ear canal completely unobstructed for extended daily listening sessions without causing physical ear fatigue.

To ensure structural stability across diverse ear anatomies, Samsung conducted extensive anatomical simulations and demographic data analysis to balance internal speaker and battery component mass. The ergonomic clip-on chassis distributes clamping pressure evenly, providing a reliable, secure grip during rigorous workouts and high-movement sports.
Internally, the hardware is powered by Qualcomm’s Snapdragon S7 Gen 1 Sound Platform, delivering highly efficient digital audio processing and up to 9.5 hours of continuous music playback on a single battery charge.

Acoustic performance directly addresses traditional open-ear challenges through custom TwinBoost speakers, which reinforce low-frequency bass output often compromised in non-occluding designs. An integrated automatic volume control dynamically recalibrates gain levels according to changing ambient environmental noise conditions.
To maintain personal privacy in quiet settings such as offices or libraries, dedicated Audio Leakage Reduction technology minimizes external sound dispersion. For telecommunications, the earbuds integrate a triple-microphone array, a bone-conduction Voice Pickup Sensor, and Intelligent Clear Call algorithms to isolate human speech from disruptive environmental background noise.

Smart software features form a central pillar of the overall device experience. The earbuds support native Gemini Live integration, enabling natural, real-time conversational assistance via hands-free voice triggers. Users can record instant voice memos through a long-press capacitive gesture, with Samsung’s Bixby indexing these recordings for future voice-based search retrieval.
Additionally, built-in intuitive head gesture controls allow users to accept or decline incoming phone calls, dismiss morning alarms, and review smartphone notifications using natural head movements without manual touch input.
