iOS users have had access to Assassin Creed games in the past, but if you’ve completed those games and you’re looking forward to some new content, Ubisoft and GREE are partnering up and will be releasing Assassin’s Creed Utopia for iOS. Speaking to the folks at Touchgen, it was revealed that the game will be taking place in the 16th century which is before Assassin’s Creed 3 and during the period of US colonization. The good news is that the game will not be a card game, which is what some of GREE’s titles were when they showed them off during E3. Instead the game will be developed internally at Ubisoft and will be monitored closely by the Assassin’s Creed team. This is to ensure that the end result is game that is familiar to Assassin’s Creed fans and gamers alike. Apart from the timeline in which the game will be taking place, not much else is known about it i.e. release date, pricing, etc. Either way we expect more details to be revealed further down the road, so check back with us at a later date for more updates.
