The next time you or someone you know plans to pick up the Sony SmartWatch and the Sony store is out of stock, you now have an alternative retailer to go to. Yup it looks like apart from selling phones, tablets and mobile services, it seems that Verizon will now start selling the Sony SmartWatch as well, although given that it syncs to Android 2.1 or higher devices which Verizon also sells, we guess this is pretty much a no-brainer when it comes to accessories for our smartphones. Verizon will be selling the device at the same price as Sony at $149.97 so you don’t have to worry about anyone trying to jack up the price. Given that the Sony SmartWatch is a relatively new product, there aren’t too many apps available just yet, but if you’re an early adopter sort of person and you’re fine with the basic functions for notifications and media playback, then the default apps should be good enough to get the job done. Interested customers can pop on over to their local Verizon store or their website if they’d like to get your hands on the Sony SmartWatch.
