I remember when Samsung started to enter the mobile phone market, back in the days when Nokia was the 800 lbs gorilla in the mobile phone market, duking it out with the likes of Motorola and Ericsson, way before the term smartphone was coined. The Samsung Blue-i was the first model that really made people stop and go “Wow!”, with its glowing blue light on the display screen itself in a clamshell form factor, although the quality of plastic that Samsung used felt as though it was recycled. Samsung sure as heck has come a long way since that day, and now their Galaxy S4 is one of the hottest smartphone properties around.

Samsung has just released a video of torture tests that concern its pre-release smartphones, and the Samsung Galaxy S4 is one of them. Other than dropping the Galaxy S4 in a fair number of ways, it was also dunked in water, before it was punched and shocked all around. It is nice to see the flagship device more or less make the cut in all those “torture” tests, which could very well give you the kind of confidence you would never have had before picking up the smartphone.
