Good news BlackBerry users, if you have been waiting for the MEGA file sharing site’s app to arrive on your platform, it now has in an official version. Prior to this, the MEGA app was only available as an Android port meaning that you’d have to know how to sideload the app onto your BlackBerry device if you wish to use it. Not exactly the most user friendly method but it is possible. The only difference is that now the developers behind the app have made an official port onto the BlackBerry platform, meaning that you will be able to head on over to the BlackBerry World website in order to get your hands on it.
For those unfamiliar with MEGA, this is a file sharing website launched by notorious former Megaupload owner, Kim Doctor, which was also launched in response to Megaupload shutting down. According to its description, “MEGA is a secure cloud storage service that gives you 50GB for free. Unlike other cloud storage providers, your data is encrypted and decrypted by the client devices only and never by us. Your data is accessible any time, from any device, anywhere. Share folders with your contacts and see their updates in real time.” In any case the app itself is free so hit up BlackBerry World for the download!
