Wouldn’t it be awesome if you had celebrities follow your Instagram account? After all celebrities are notorious for having more followers than people they actually follow, so to have one of them follow you does have a little novelty to it.

Well if you’re a fan of basketball, it seems that forking out $500 will have basketball legend Shaquille O’Neal follow you on Instagram! No, it’s not because Shaq is pressed for cash, it’s actually a backers reward for gamers who are willing to help fund the sequel of Shaq Fu.

For those unfamiliar with Shaq Fu, it’s basically a fighting game from back in 1994 that featured none other than Shaq himself! It was a little weird to say the least, but it was interesting as far as celebrity endorsements were concerned.

However two decades later, it seems that Shaq wants to revive the game and is looking to make a sequel called Shaq Fu: A Legend Reborn. The game will be developed by a studio called Big Deez Productions which is apparently made up of industry veterans from the Halo and Street Fighter franchises.

In fact we can see some Street Fighter elements in the game based on the artwork that we have seen so far. Now there are plenty of other backer rewards and a pledge of $35,000 will see the backer enjoy an evening at TNT studios for a meet and greet. As it stands the game is seeking funding on Indiegogo and is aiming for a goal of $450,000.

As it stands it is sitting at a little over $32,000 and has about 45 days left before the project expires. If you’d like to learn more or pledge your donation, hit up the Indiegogo page for the details. In the meantime you can check out the video above to get an idea of what to expect.
