It has been a while since HTC showed some love to Windows Phone but that might change later this year if rumors are true. Apparently the company is developing a new WP based device that will be a Verizon exclusive. Obviously both the company and the carrier have confirmed nothing at this point so details about this new smartphone are a bit slim, though its possible that additional rumors might reveal more in the near future.

The bit about this rumored device comes from infamous Twitter leaker @evleaks, who tweeted that HTC is working on a Windows Phone 8.1 flagship that is destined for Verizon. Since its said to be a flagship device one can expect it to have high-end specifications.

Though what most HTC and Windows Phone fans might be looking forward to is the design and build materials. For its Android flagship the company uses an all metal build, the design has also been praised a lot both by customers and critics. Would it be reasonable to assume that HTC will stick with these values for its Windows Phone 8.1 flagship as well?

It is not known at this point in time exactly when this new HTC Windows Phone 8.1 flagship is going to hit the market. WP8.1 itself is destined to be publicly released this summer, so its possible that the company might have a summer release timeframe in mind. Though this is pure speculation at this point so take it with a grain of salt.
