iphone6-leak-3The other day we reported on the rumors that Apple’s new iPhones will be launched on the 19th of September. The models in question would come in 32GB and 64GB options, suggesting that Apple could do away with the basic 16GB model. However many have wondered if Apple would ever increase the storage to 128GB, and according to a new rumor out of China, the answer is yes.

Apparently Apple will be introducing a 128GB iPhone model. However the kicker is that the 128GB option will only be available to the 5.5-inch iPhone 6. If you recall the rumors, Apple is said to launch the iPhone 6 in two different sizes: a 4.7-inch model and a 5.5-inch model. Both models are expected to enter production in July, although word has it that the 5.5-inch model will be short of supply at the start.

It is unclear how much the 128GB model will cost, but jumping from 16GB to 32GB to 64GB has proven to be a pretty pricey affair, so there is a good chance that the 128GB model could a little too expensive for some people’s tastes. Also for those who recall, the 5.5-inch model is said to cost $100 more than the 4.7-inch model, so it will be $100 on top of whatever Apple decides to price the 128GB model at.

Heck, we can only imagine at those prices, some users might be better off getting a brand new laptop! Then again we guess there could be power users out there who might demand the extra storage, but what do you guys think? Is a 128GB iPhone 6 something you’re looking forward to?
