If you happen to have a superior product over the rest of the competition, but somehow are unable to translate such superiority in quality over to the real world, then you might want to take a second look at the kind of campaigns that your marketing department runs. Siri has certainly made a name for itself in the world of digital assistants, but Microsoft’s far more recent Cortana is no pushover, either, having managed to make some rather accurate predictions for the recently concluded World Cup in Brazil. What happens when these two collide?

Well, you can see it for yourself in the video above, as Microsoft’s Cortana steps into the ring with Apple’s Siri in the battle of voice assistants. In the commercial, Windows Phone 8.1 that runs on a Nokia Lumia 635 will pit its capabilities against the iPhone 5s.

Needless to say, since this particular advertisement hails from Microsoft, there is no need to second guess just which of the two will emerge as the victor. Well, Google might be chuckling to themselves after a Piper Jaffray analyst pointed out that Google Now has also edged out Siri where accuracy is concerned.
